Go Tigers, Go Cocks! It's Time for My Picks for Saturday's Games...

Man, Those Red Sox Fans Get Angry Early, Don't They??
I know, I know... We're talking football, but I was too lazy to download any photos, so this was the closest. On to football.
This weekend's games are not the most exciting matchups - Clemson vs. Ga. Tech and Miss. State at Carolina. Doesn't exactly get the blood pumping , does it? Which is the perfect reason they both could fall this weekend. Not that they will, but it wouldn't surprise me if either one did.
Miss. State vs. South Carolina.
Sly and The Family Croom seem to be putting a team together here. They're 3-1 with a conference win. Kinda reminds you when USC would start off with a winning record - then they'd get crushed by the conference teams. USC has a new QB (Smelley?), and Coach Spurrier is not happy with the practices this week. The Gamecocks will be ready, but not at their best - on O or D. Just can't see Miss. State at 4-1. USC 20-14.
Clemson vs. Ga. Tech.
The Tigers always seem to have problems with the Yellow Jackets, and they're in Atlanta. That and seeing Tech go 0-3 in the conference isn't a common occurance - but it happens. The weather will be good, Clemson has better speed and they're on a roll. Tech doesn't have the offense to keep up. Keep the Tigers on the undefeated board - for now.. Clemson 38-17.
I got both of them right last week, hopefully I'll be right again. Have a great weekend !!

  2. Sorry, Moye. The O just couldn't get going. That puts me at 3-1.

Tech didn't need the offense, just the D. Sorry Moye, I wouldn't want to be in that locker room in Atlanta either. Based on the network commentary, I have to wonder if a placekicker is gonna have to decide between soccer and being the PK.

Kentucky leading the SEC east, based only on its conference record of 1-0 looks ripe for a tumble to 1-1

  4. Reminds me of that time Bowden got so ticked at the kickers that he kept going for 2, rather than the PAT. Too bad there is no alternative for FG's, unless they change to Aussie football rules.

The SEC East is starting to take shape a bit, and USC has a great chance to win it. Florida has LSU, which would be a 2nd loss, so a win vs. Kentucky would give make the Florida game a shot at winning it outright. Wow....
