The gauntlet has been thrown at my feet, and I have no other choice but to accept it.... Earl and I have found ourselves latched in a battle of Shatnermania in our blogs. While I couldn't find his classic appearance on Saturday Night Live - the one when he tells the Trekkies to "Get a Life, Will Ya", I did find this montage. One might call it his greatest hits.
While the mainstream people in Hollywood may denounce his talents, there can be no doubt that Shatner is a genius, a true talent, and one may even say a Renaissance Man. Just watch this clip, and you'll see why Shatner has won 6 Oscars, 12 Emmys, 15 Golden Globe Awards, and so many Grammys that even Mariah Carey won't mention how many she's won in front of him. I might be a bit off on the Oscar total.......
