Cartoon of the Week(s)
Since we haven't been around the past few weeks, we better have a good one, right? We'll it's okay.. the top story this week was the Chilean Miners rescue. Since it was a rare 'happy story', we managed to find a couple cartoonists to put a sarcastic spin on it, which we love. While we liked the one with a rescuer giving sunglasses to a miner stuck in the dark for 2 months to avoid all the media camera flashes (there were 2000 of them , after all), we always give the nod to one that can mix topical events with politics.... What is down that hole, anyway????

One real irony in this cartoon is that Chile privatized their Social Security nearly 15 years ago, when Sanford was in congress and, under the promise of Union Pension funds would always be there, organized labour entrenched itself with the left in keeping the SSI slush fund to payoff pet projects, like Clyburn Bridges to nowhere and other useless garbage...
Maybe a telethon like the one the DNC held in the early 70's because they were so broke that they could only afford offices in the Watergate if they fronted for a call girl ring across the street.
But I digress...
