Great week for political cartoons this week.. I don't think we've ever done this, but there were so many really good ones this week, that we picked four! It seems like we've been doing a lot of Obama bashing this week. Hey, we try to cut him a break, especially in the case of Gay Marriage - or in this case, Shotgun Weddings, courtesy of Joe Biden's mouth... Wondering if he's on any talk shows this week?
With 342,000 less people looking for work, it's no surprise that Uncle Sam's clothes seem a little lighter. It could be his gut is getting a little rotund as well..
Remember SchoolHouse Rock? Well, it looks like it's back - but in a more realistic tone... We always wondered why they never did one on filibustering... 'Filibust-rin' - it's here to stay. Just keep on talking til the bill goes awaaaaaaay!'
Sadly, the world of children's book lost a giant with the passing of Maurice Sendak, who died Tuesday, four days after suffering a stroke. Even I know 'Where the Wild Things Are', and I never read. Sendak was the idol of every kids' book writer for decades. He will be missed.....
