As you know by now, we here at SC6 know how to rock. We try to keep up with new things going on the music business, but with so such crap coming out lately , it's hard to pay attention. However, every once in a while, something pops up that really gets out attention...
Meet tinted windows, the newest supergroup to come out. Sort of. The band is made up of Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, Smashing Pumpkin guitarist James Iha, Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger, and another guy. The other guy is the one that really caught our attention. The last member is none other than Taylor Hanson...
Yep. THAT Taylor Hanson, as in "MMMM Bop" teen heartthob 90's band Hanson. Go in the dusty closet, and pull out those old Tiger Beat mags, 'cause Taylor Hanson is BACK, baby !!! If you were a teenager in the late 90's, your sister or the girl next door was probably ga-ga over Taylor. I was a bit surprised yesterday when I found this and Rick referred to Taylor Hanson as "the Hanson Kid that has talent." Who knew...
Yes, Taylor certainly has grown up. I don't even remember the other two brothers names, but I'm pretty sure they were named Moe and Curly. I haven't listened to any new songs of theirs, so let's listen together. To show how Taylor has grown up, we'll compare. First, the old Taylor:

and , the new Taylor:

You know, I was kinda wondering what these four guys were doing together, but it really does work pretty well. I hear Cheap Trick and Fountains of Wayne all over this song, and Iha fits in well too. It's a nice little toe-tapper.... I still think Audioslave and Velvet Revolver were better supergroups, but I like what thye've done here...
