OK, let's help you out a bit... His name is Reince Preibus (pronounced RHIINTZ PREE-bus), and he is the new RNC Chairman. Like most votes involving the RNC, there was no clear frontrunner, so it took a while... SEVEN VOTES - before he won a majority of the Committee members.
Do I know him? Of course not.. He's the Wisconsin GOP Chairman, and we don't get up to Cheese Country too often. Maybe Moye met him on a visit to Green Bay... There are good things we hear about him, and others that may dog him a bit..
As opposed to Steele, who was a national face - and not a ton more- Preibus is known as a 'nuts and bolts' guy. That's good... We don't need a cheerleader, we need a real leader who know the details of the party. Preibus should serve well in that capacity.
Our questions? Well, he was known as closely tied to Steele, which is not a point to look well on. The RNC's spending habits were crazy. They're $20 million in the hole as we speak, and you might notice the picture above shows Preibus and Steele side by side ..... in a private jet. Might we suggest flying coach. Trust us, Reince. No one has any frigging idea who you are - you won't be harrassed...
About that $20 mil, Preibus may lack the gravitas of Steele to fundraise the RNC out of that hole. True, with the positive momentum the GOP has had in the past year, the excitement to unseat Barack Obama may overcome that, but Obama will raise a boatload of cash, and the GOP has no clear frontrunner yet - and likely won't.
