Happy 2009 everyone! I hope you had a great New Years Eve. Mine was okay. The cops were out in full force early, and I hit a road block before got there, so no problem. I had fun at Sara's house, and I finally play Guitar Hero after midnight. I played drums, because the guitar part is NOTHING like playing a real guitar. Nothing like getting smoked by a girl who can't play a real guitar....
Anyway, I'd better hurry here, because all the New Year's Day bowl games are about to start. Carolina and Clemson both play today. Here's how i see it...
Carolina and Iowa
Bobbo s not a Carolina fan, but I'm sure he would give the Gamecocks a little love if they avenged Iowa's ruining Penn State's season. Problem is, they still have the same QB's playing, and they're limping coming into today's game. Iowa's running back has run for over 100 yards in every game this season, against tougher defenses than Carolina's. It'll be close because neither team is capable of blowing anyone out, but I see another Carolina "If they only did/didn't do this" game. Iowa 27-20.
Clemson and Nebraska
The Tigers seem to have put everyting back to where they were supposed to be this year. Nebraska has a great passing game (Nebraska THROWS the ball now?), but Clemson should be able to keep the ball out of the Cornhuskers' hands enough to overcome it. And moye's at the game, so they better win, or they ain't getting home!! Clemson 31-27.
Penn State and USC
Bobby, it's gonna be a long day... USC has just too much speed for Penn State. If they were playing in any other bowl after not making the BCS Championship, I'd give them a chance to surprise, but this is the Rose Bowl. Pete Carroll also is 6-1 in bowl games, most of them blowouts. Penn State will do their best to do it for JoePa, but it won't be enough. USC 34-14.
Also, Georgia blows out an overrated Michigan State team, 42-17. Enjoy the games !!

lets see...i had Iowa beating S Car, Clemson edging Nebraska, Georgia blowing out Michigan State and Penn State losing about like they did. Can't set the bar too high for myself in that one. I kind of expected it. Thing is, had they not played so bad in the 2nd quarter, they might have had a shot at winning the game. Hopefully these slashes on my wrists will heal soon.
games to come...Alabama big over Utah, Texas Tech big over Miss St, East Carolina by a field goal over KY<<< not the lubricant, Texas big over Ohio State and Florida wins by one to avenge their only loss by one.
I am sick
