Yeah, it might be odd to see a piece of stained glass in New York that wasn't shattered in a riot, but that's our point here.... Out here on the far end of Yankeeville, we have some really neat places to visit. If you've ever gone to the Hamptons, and took the LIE or Sunrise Highway all the way, you missed a lot of great stuff to see. To REALLY experience a good time on the East End - before you get to all the clubs - take a trek on Montauk Highway, aka 27-A.....
Our first stop on our trip was Eastport, known as the gateway to the Hamptons. We went in search of the famous Long Island Duck, then we found out it isn't, never was, and will never be in Eastport - but we really lucked out when we went there anyway. Eastport is beautiful: it's like Long Island went on a time warp. No Big Box stores or McDonald's - just lots of Mom and Pop stores, antique shops, and small eateries with home cooking... I know by now you're thinking 'Whiskey Foxtrot Tango - are you kidding, Reino?' Nope. It's all there... or isn't, whichever way you prefer it. Here's proof....
Eastport Bible Church.......
Eastport Elementary School .... quite idyllic
Seatuck Creek, where a guy who looked like an Al-Qaeda recruit was fishing.... even terrorists have to eat.
Lastly, this was on the window of a luncheonette I was going to eat at..... Congratulations, Patrick - whoever you are!
Beautiful weather, beautiful little town - Beautiful Day ...... But no Big Duck.

Reminds of life in America in the 50's and early 60's...teg
It really was nice - like a Town That Time Forgot.
See Mike you are falling in love again.
It's a little too far to drive from there to work, Moye. Personally, I'd rather live in a shithole, and have a decent woman...
