Clarendon GOP Meets Tonight at The French Hens ....
The juggernaut known as the Clarendon County GOP will have their final meeting before next month's Primary tonight, and as usual, our buddy Moye Graham and his posse have an enviable slate of speakers.... The featured guest will be State Treasurer Converse Chellis, along with SLC (Sumter, Lee, Clarendon) area Solicitor candidate Tod Williams. On top of that, all three candidates for the 6th Congressional District seat will be attending. This is the second time Clarendon has gotten Colleen Payne, Nancy Harrelson and Jim Pratt together for you to listen , ask and decide for yourself...
As usual, it will be at The French Hens restaurant at 5 West Boyce St on downtown Manning - right across from the Courthouse. Once again, the Lead Dog of the Four Horsemen shows us all who the baddest County Chair in South Carolina is ..... and they remind you all that you can't win without Clarendon!!!

Mike, We always appreciate the plugs on your blog. Moye works hard to ensure we have quality speakers and everything runs smoothly. Tonight's meeting is no exception. Y'all come and see for yourselves.

Challengers aside, Moye month in and month out has a slate of speakers that bigger counties wish they had. That's why Moye is THE MAN...

You know Moye Graham is a moderate and will be replaced as Chairman in the next election. He has spoken out one to many times against our Conservative candidate.
I think Moye would admit there are people out there that are more conservative, but judging by the straw poll, his area seems a bit more that way..
That aside, Moye is the single biggest reason for Clarendon's growth in the state, and it's ability to get powerful speakers to a smaller county. Just because your Chair doesn't agree with you poltically doesn't mean he needs to be replaced. Or will be..
Just look who he is backing for Treasurer Converse Chellis. That in itself will tell you what politics the Clarendon Chairman feels is important. Also his stand against Nikki Haley and Curtis Loftis two conservative leaders.
I wasn't there, but Loftis ticked off a lot of people at the State Executive Committee meeting, and many of them haven't forgotten. He's had some valid criticisms, but a lot of people haven't forgotten that.
Haley is simple - she canceled attending Clarendon three straight months this year. If I were a county chair, and a candidate blew me off three times, I might have doubts if she will follow through on her promises. Of course, I'm not, and I'd probably vote for her anyway.
I know he is a friend of yours and you will defend him but he also is backing Ken Ard a Liberal over the True Conservative in the Lt. Governor race Candidate Bill Conner. Everyone knows that Bill has the backing of the Tea Party and Jim DeMint. Where Ken Ard is a Lindsey Graham man.
