Flipping around the channels, I came across 'This Week in Baseball', which I used to watch a lot as a kid, when Mel Allen was host. HOW ABOUT THAT !!! Anyway, they were at Wrigley Field, and they had a piece on all the stars who have sung 'Take me Out to the Ballgame' during the 7th inning stretch since Harry Caray passed away a few years ago.
Some are good, some less than stellar. I pulled up a few of them for you today . It shows how you always sound better when you're drunk than when you're sober. Speaking of which, I'll post on a related topic another time. First , here's Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder (notice the beer in his hand)....
Next, IRL Driver Danica Patrick isn't drunk, but she sounds like she is...
Jeff Gordon needs a beer after the hack job he does here.. Wrigley Stadium?? They must be Tony Stewart fans in Chicago.....

Lastly, here is is Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's totally incomprehensible version. The guy can remember all the words to 'Crazy Train', but can't recall a single word of THIS ????
As long as they keep serving bratwurst and beer at Wrigley Field, we'll keep hearing lousy singing like this......... and we'll LOVE IT !!!
