Hanging With the Brothers: McCain Goes to Sturgis.

This is no doubt turning into one of the goofiest election years ever.... Where we had NASCAR dads and Soccer Moms, we now have John McCain hanging out with bikers. Not just any bikers, but the Buffalo Chip Bike Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota !!! He MIGHT be a bit out of his element...






For those of you a bit unfamiliar with Sturgis, it is THE bike rally of the year, and it has been for decades. It's not like a baby local poker run at the Sheriff's Department. These guys are SERIOUS BIKERS... They come from across the country for nine days, hang out, look at each others bikes, and watch bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Def Leppard - and usually do soem serious partying too. I doubt a presidential candidate has ever been there - but this is 2008, and all bets are off...






Maybe it's not such a crazy idea though..... Biking has become way more mainstream - ever see Wild Hogs? - so where it used to be the Hells Angels and Bandidos National Convention, there will be a strong Neo-Yuppie contingent there. Motorcycles are pretty costly nowadays, there might be a Republican here or there. Just one request......... Please don't let him try to ride a bike !!!!

Sorry, i had this done last night, but the pics would not download. He did okay from what i heard - lots of tributes to the troops, and he even donated his wife for Miss Buffalo Chip. No clapping there, but a good amount of throttle noise - the biker's version of a Golf Clap.
