Fall is here - well , almost, if you count 83 degrees as Fall. And with it, comes our favorite things - football, pumpkin picking, changing of the leaves, and Fairs..
The Pee Dee is no different. I think the Sweet Potato Festival is already over, along with the FMU International Festival, but there are still things to go to. The Eastern Carolina Ag Festival starts tomorrow - go tomorrow, because tickets are much cheaper the first day. For those up in Chesterfield County, the Jazz Festival starts tomorrow as well in Cheraw. For those of you who don't know, Cheraw is the birthplace of legendary trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, that was before he blew out of town !! Sorry, but I had to say it...........I'd go, but I'm sure it's a smart move to go to Cheraw right now. ;)
Yep, if you want to something cute/romantic, take your girl apple or pumpkin picking or to the fair. It's fun, and it'll get you out of the dinner/movie rut for at least a week. Sweet....
