The Election Is Over, Pick Up Those Signs..And Bring Them Here to Maybe Save a Life.

Signs, Signs... Everywhere There's Signs.

Any excuse to quote lyrics from 80's hair bands like Tesla, right? Anyway, it's been two days since Election Day, and many candidates have doen a good job of picking up all of those signs from the side of the road and the polling precincts. Some haven't. If you're one of them, get off of your butt and pick up your mess, Pig Pen !!

For those of you who have done it already, kudos my friend. Now what are you going to do with all that paper, plastic and wire? We've got an idea. Like most great ideas, it's wasn't ours, but we'll be glad to pass it on anyway. Here's what to do......

You probably heard about the 12 year old boy who was shot Halloween night while trick or treating. He was shot along with his father and brother, went up to a house that left their lights on. While most people know that lights on during Halloween night means come and get some candy , it appears that paranoid drug dealers don't know that -but I digress...

That's where the signs come in.. Local residents are collecting the old signs and will have them reprinted to read "We Trick or Treat" so kids and ther parents have a more secure way of knowing which houses are safe. Sounds like a pretty good idea, eh? If you live in Sumter, simply drop them at the Sumter Police Station, and tell them you are donating them for the project. If you live here in Flotown, drop them at my house, and I'll take them when I get a hefty amount to donate. Or you can e-mail them at sumterhalloweensign@yahoo.com
