Today's Lesson? Don't Carjack in a Supermarket Lot on Turkey Week...
Time for a Dumb Crook of the Week story. A man robbed a gas station on Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina, and decided to carjack a vehicle from a woman in the Harris Teeter parkign lot across the street. Like most bad getaway plans, that's where the wheels started to come off.
Ha attacked a woman and got into her vehicle, but other shoppers came to her aid, fresh from their Thanksgiving Day dinner shopping. Aside from the stuffing, cranberries and dinner rolls, one decided to use their nice 15 lb. still frozen turkey to try and subdue him. If you've never been hit with a frozen turkey, trust me - it's very, very hard. A shot to the head with a frozen turkey will mess you up...
The carjacker did still end up getting away , but he did hit several other cars before being caught by police. Think the headshots with the turkey had something to do with it? I sure do.. Maybe he'll wait until Easter, when he might get attacked with a stuffed animal - or at least a Ham !!

I've been thumped in the head by a few things over the years - turkeys, oil filters, fists, 2x4's, etc.
They gave him the bird and he flew!
