Goodbye to Ed McMahon ...

Just a quick so long to The Tonight Show's Ed McMahon, who passed away today at the age of 86. Ed was the King of the Sidekicks, never trying to steal Johnny Carson's thunder for 30 plus years. He simply rode shotgun every night, and he did it better than anyone.
The man loved his Budweiser too, which we here can empathize with... McMahon did get out of Carson's shadow after Johnny retired in 1992, hosting Star Search, and doing numerous commercials as well. Ed McMahon was a true TV legend, and we salute him as he gets ready for his Reunion Show with Johnny.....

Mike-I grew up watching Carson and Ed was the perfect straight man to Johnny Carson. In some ways he reminded me of one of my uncles. Having followed his trials since the end of the Carson era,it was tragic to see. But now he is in a better place. God Bless you Ed...teg
