The Four Horsemen Storm The Beach at Graham Slough ... You're All Safe, People .

Welcome to the next installment of the 'Mike, Get Yo' Ass Out Da House' Series... After the Tech Summit, I hopped into the Avalon, and made a B-line straight to Lake Marion, to team up with the other Four Horsemen of the Political Apocalypse. Well, almost..... Tommy had to run to Augusta, but we had enough for quorum....

It was a marathon of Beer and Politics - mostly Politics. What did we talk about? Everything South Carolina politics, that's what. You name it, we talked about it. State, District, Local - everything. The general consensus? The next year is going to be real interesting. We have some Big Dogs running for Governor, and some of them are going to be disappointed when those poll numbers start coming in. The Lt. Governor's race is very muddy and wide open - and some of the current candidates should like it that way.

In the statewide party, we have some people that have a lot to prove in their new offices. They're in a bit of a no-win situation. With all but one of the statewide elected offices being held by Republicans, there's not a lot of room to go up. Will they make in-roads with minorities and independents? Has the Conservative Right Wing taken total control of the party, and are they worried at all about the party becoming a Regional, and not National Power? We discussed all of this, but then it was time to have fun...

Earl had to head back home, so Moye and I hit The Palms at Wyboo, and Rob Alt was a gracious host, as usual. Since the fire last year, th place is a lot different. No restaurant in front anymore - it's the bar in front, and another bar and stage in back. But I do like the Yankees motif ....

After my best night of sleep in months, I ate eight tons of BBQ, grits, eggs and Sunny-D for breakfast. Then , it was off to burn some gas on the Lake...

Going out Graham Slough....

Lake Marion's version of Hell's Angels....

Hey, it's the Tater Creek Bar & Grill. P-Luv, where the heck were ya ???

Lastly, I saw this on Hwy 301 in Davis Station as I was leaving.. Dear Congressman Clyburn, it has been 7 months since the Election - please pick up your frickin' signs already !!!!!!!!!

actually, the bar and grill I refer to is the old Wayne's, it's off the water. But you're warm with this pic...

Is it within shouting distance? If so, i'll just go there, and start yelling...

My parent's place is down the slough that is right there at Scarborough's. They are off the water, but we have a very nice neighbor that allows us to dock and hang out on his waterfront.

Tommy, only I have the right to use the "BBQ Defense". When you use it, you're just trying to be cool like me.

And judging from the look of things you have used the BBQ Defense a lot in the past...teg

Earl uses the 3B defense more than Ed Robinson blames crime on too many Policemen.

Maybe we should let Ed take Earl to a few Florence BBQ sites,I would love to be a fly on that wall(and knowing Ed I would plenty of flies for company)....teg
