SC6: Solving People's Problems Everyday !

Some of SC's Most Important People Know Where To Go For Help ....

After 3 1/2 years, i've decided to change SC6's format. Instead of politics, we're going to change this blog into a Dear Abby-like service. Why not? I've figured out that I can solve any problem , and fix anything - even if i'm not looking at it !!

Need proof of my skills? Sure. This week was a perfect example. I'll leave names out to protect people's privacy, but let's just say if you know anythign about SC Politics, it was one of the most influential and powerful people in the party. Well, this person was having car trouble. They took it to a dealership in Columbia, where they changed the key cylinder and the computer. But, a week later, the car still would not work. They e-mailed me in desperation, asking for an opinion. Here is what I wrote back:

" I have heard of a case or two where the keys don't work, and the computer has to be replaced. Perhaps they got the wrong computer , and it isn't programming, but there are other variables."

I put this person in touch with Chris, who is a Toyota Master Technician, not to mention the other guitar player in my band. He gave suggestions , and offered the dealer in Cola to call him. I got a message back a couple days later..... And I was dead-on the money - the computer they installed was bad indeed. My guess is they got the wrong one, but i decided to quit while I was ahead.....They're back on the road, and we can take a little credit for getting them there..

Dad was a wise guy, although the reference of me + blow in the same sentence was a bit uncomfortable.
