The British Troops are Back.... So When Are Gas Prices Going to Drop?

Alright.. Iran and Britain have settled their spat, the troops are home, eating Shepherd's Pie and Bangers and Mash.......... and gas prices are the highest since Katrina !! WTF??

According to sources making sick profits from the higher prices, Spring is not only the time when young men's fancy turns to love - it's also the time when the oil companies change the mix, or clean the refineries, or something like that. The end result is that oil supplies drop this time of year , and prices jack up. Fine, but 40 cents in a couple months?? If this keeps up, i'm gonna have to trade in my Avalon for a Moped.

people in charge of the large oil companies should be lined up and shot in the head!

Thank the Clintonistas for keeping us from building the refineries to back up what Katrina knocked off line.

I'll grant micro-distilleries for "gas-ahol" might have some impact, since the ethanol doesn't travel well via pipeline and has to go via truck. Bio-diesel has some potential, but between pressing corn oil and rending all the hog fat (might be usable in keeping Islamofascists away) I doubt that it is quite carbon neutral or ultimately energy conserving.

I have a upcoming trip to Africa where I will have projects at five different oil refineries all American owned and all built recently. While we have not built any major refineries in the states for awhile we have upgraded most of them and did expansions some of the expansions are as large as a lot of refineries. We do need more. Also remember not all refineries can produce gas from certain areas of the world. The West Texas Sweet crude sets the standard. The oil that President for Life Chavez has takes a lot more expertise to make into gas so does the oil that Iran has. I still say it would be worth taking. We also can just cut back on a personal level just a few per cent each and we could see a difference but being America we want.
