Lots of Critters Like this Guy Will be in Claxton, GA Tomorrow...
Now that the pollen is starting to fall, it's festival season... One of them will be the 41st Annual Rattlesnake Roundup in Claxton, just west of Savannah. It started back in the '60's , when residents would band together to kill rattlesnakes in town that were terrorizing local residents..... Okay, maybe not terrorizing.
The parade starts at 1000AM, and there will be plenty of stuff to eat and buy, although I'm not sure if rattlesnake tidbits are on the menu..

it's entirely possible... however, there is no truth to the rumor that Claxton Chicken is actually rattler...

Don't ask what the mystery meat in the Irish Stew in Savannah is this year, stick to the corned rattlesnake and cabbage.
