SC6 - Still On the Road.. Welcome to Graham Slough!

It's been a week, and I still haven't made it back to Florence yet. From what I've been told, there are a few people that wish I never come back... Anyway, welcome to Graham Slough (pronounced Slew), on Lake Marion. Moye's got a cabin/trailer on the lake, and since i had to go to Moncks Corner today, I stayed there, and got to spend a few hours on the lake.

We tooled around the lake for a couple hours, and although the water was pretty placid, Moye got it airborne a couple times. His Bayline clocked out at 60 mph a couple times, which is probably the fastest I've ever been on a boat.

It was nice to get out ON the lake to experience everything, and see the thousands of people who live and play on Lake Marion. It gives you an idea of how bad an idea the Inland Port in Santee would have been. Sure, the barges would have fit, but the quality of life that was created when they dammed the Congaree would have been ruined . From all signs, the port is a dead deal, as it should be..... Next time you come I will get you up on the ski's behind that Bayliner. I know you don't want Parker to out do you now. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Where else can you deliver garden peas and barbeque from the boat. Also where can you have a breakfast of ham, bacon and cheese omelet, bacon, ham, red eyed gravery, cheese grits and Williamsburg County BBQ not to mention the tortillas heated on a cast iron pan. Now that's a breakfast.

I'll have to come out there one of these days. I know the invite list is rather exclusive and privileged, but I'm sure one day, I'll make the cut.
