Today Is One of Our Prouder Days.....

Remember how Geraldo Rivera went to that school of poor kids and promised to pay for and oversee their education through college? Well, we here at the Mike Reino Foundation have had our own little project like that going on for almost the past three years - and today, it came to fruition. Yes, we are pleased to announce that our buddy and SC6 fan favorite, Ms. X, is graduating from college this week.....

Now, we would like to think that our pre-exam Pep Talks, along with sage advice from a guy who's made every mistake in life, were the main reasons for her being able to graduate with Honors - but that might be overstating it a bit.... The truth is, when I first met Ms. X, she was still kind of a kid: smart, but maybe just a bit unfocused, and getting a bit caught up in stuff that makes doing well in college tough. Today, she is 180 degrees from that, and she has been for some time now. Everytime we chatted, it was 'I'm studying', or 'I'm writing a paper'. Good! Were we the reason for the turnaround? I doubt it, but we here at The Foundation will take any credit we can get. We know it wasn't that we gave her a bunch of money!

The fact is, we couldn't be prouder of our Sweetie. C, I miss you a ton, but if this is what it took for you to succeed, it was worth it. I wouldn't change a thing.... Now, good luck finding a job in this wonderful economy we have right now!!! For old times sake, we'll play this one last time....

When you refer to "the Foundation," you're referring to the the Foundation for Law and Government aren't you? You know, the foundation that billionaire philanthropist Wilton Knight created and funded through his company, Knight Industries. The Foundation that gave us KITT. Because if you are talking about that, that would be cool.

No, The Foundation actually had a slightly longer name, but it's a tad disrespectful in hindsight now.

Yes, that might be a good foundation, but remember - they gave us KITT, but they also gave us David Hasselhoff !!
