Anderson Sue-per ....

Yeah, Show Off Them Pipecleaners, Coop !!!

Damn Will Folks for beating me to the punch on Kevin Smith's airplane fiasco..... I had my title all ready - 'Well, Pot DOES Give You the Munchies'..... No problem - I've got another celebrity story in my hat. Such is the one advantage here: every newspaper has a Page Six....

Here's the poop..... CNN heartthrob anchor Anderson Cooper is always on the road whenever a disaster hits. Like his recent trip to Haiti, he always is there when people need help. Well people, Anderson Cooper is going to need your help soon, and bad.... You see, Anderson Cooper just got sued, and from what we read, it don't look too good for Coop....

The big fad in Manhattan nowadays is to buy an old firehouse, and convert it into an apartment. It makes sense: the ceilings are high, they look cool on the outside, and you already have a garage door to park your car, which saves a ton on parking. Cooper recently bought one, and in September, he sent his interior decorator, Killian O'Brien, over to check it out, and make recommendations. O'Brien was on the second floor, when she came to the area where the firepole is - or at least, where it USED to be... Cooper didn't have the hole covered, and O'Brien fell smack dab 17 feet down the hole, and onto the ground floor.......

O'Brien survived, and her injuries haven't been made public, but they will soon, because she is suing - and hwo can blame her. If I fell like that, and it was a CNN anchor who is the heir to the Vanderbilt fortune (his Mom is Gloria Vanderbilt, as in Gloria Vanderbilt jeans) ,I'd sue too.... P-Luv, time for a ruling.... My guess is that the attorney that Coop's had on retainer will make a nice offer to make this all go away - and we'll never know how much she got. Good thing he's already gone gray.....If you want to help, call the Anderson Cooper Defense Fund at 866-SAVE-COOP......

I'd imagine he has insurance on the place and given how much a fire station in Manhattan goes, I'm figuring it's a pretty hefty policy. If so, he'll do what you or any other homeowner would do, turn it over to his insurance company and let them handle it. You'd have to imagine this decorator probably runs in all the hip circles, so unless she is seriously injured, it would behoove her to be reasonable at the expense of alienating the rest of the rest of the tycoon elite. Of course, if she was on the job, who knows, maybe workers comp is involved and I have no idea about how NY comp would factor in. I can tell you if it was here in SC, she'd be coming to see the Mayor or Big Steve. They be the comp Michael Jordans.
