First in Flight ... And Ohio and NC Still Fight !

Another day, another anniversary. This one is a bit happier.... Today is the 106th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first successful flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Now we're making 787 Jetliners made from carbon fiber that carry 300 people .......

The funniest part of the Wright Brothers flight is how North Carolina and Ohio fight for credit on the flight. The Tar Heel State has 'First in Flight' on their license plates, and The Buckeye State went with 'Birthplace of Aviation' on theirs for a while, since the Wright Brothers were from there. We're going with NC on this one, because it ain't where you're from , it's where you do it - and that plane would still be on the ground if they didn't have that Outer Banks wind to blow it! Case Closed ....
