The Terrible Teens? What Lies Ahead For Us ...... Economically Speaking.

Ahhhhh...... Don't you love to see them blossom into their own adulthood? No, we're not talking about the possibility of your now-nine year old boy or girl turning into an neurotic Emo Kid. If you are unfamiliar with the term Emo Kid, may we suggest you Google it ..... and be prepared!
Nope, today we're talking about our favorite subject - The Economy. The one thing that truly drives everything else, although DC may tyr to suggest otherwise. Like we've said before, the Recession of 2008-2009 s unlike any we've seen in our generation. I remember '81 and '92 - those were nothing compared to the mess we just got out of. Much like the Great Depression - which is not what we had - the deeper the hole, the less likely there is to be a quick recovery. We've gone in-depth on numerous occasions to explain and either give hope, or to plan ahead for what may be coming.
If you haven't been listening , or if you just think I'm an idiot with no credentials to back this up, we'll gladly pass you onto a more known source. There's a good AP article, where they discuss the snail's pace that the expected recovery will take. Their plan for a full recovery? About 5-8 years ...... And it may not be an exaggeration. Much like when a backhoe digs a deep enough hole, all that is left is solid earth - and there is nothing diggable to fill in the hole. There are lots of variables, and they discuss most of them briefly. If you have a minute, take a peek at it, and then ....... prepare for a long, slow climb back up. Look at the bright side - at least you'll be too broke for your kids to afford the eyeliner and haircuts.
