Today's Founders Quote: The Greatest of All Reflections

"Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. The interest of the man must be connected with the constitutional rights of the place. It may be a reflection on human nature that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. What is government itself but the greatest of all reflections on human nature?"

- James Madison, 1788.

Aside from Thomas Jefferson, James Madison seems to have the most pertinent quotes that we see.  Most politicians are ambitious to a fault.  Every Senator thinks he/she should be President, every Congressman thinks they are smarter than their leadership.  But that personal ambition needs to be tempered by a greater need - the direction of the country.  A country is defined by the government that it sets up, be it by it's freedoms, or lack thereof.  This is where American has lost it's track - personal ambition has superceded national good.

Maybe it's not a national good, but Elizabeth Olsen is pretty good too.  If she looks familiar, it's because she's Mary Kate and Ashley's little sister.. We didn't even know there was another one, but she looks even better than her sisters.  That's what not being whored out as a six year old will do for you. In short, she's what Mary Kate and Ashley would be if they grew up normal....
