Today, news comes out that UGA VI, the mascot for the University of Georgia football team, passed away from congestive heart failure. He was 9 years old, or 63 years to you and me.....
For any Georgia fans, the greatest thrill was to have your or your kid's picture taken with UGA VI. Treated like a rock star, UGA VI had his own custom dog house, and loved to lay on bags of ice to keep cool during those hot Athens Saturday afternoons. While all Gerogia Bulldogs are revered, UGA VI differentiated himself a few years back by trying to bite an Auburn University football player on the sidelines during a game. Good Boy !
Although the search for UGA VII now begins, UGA VI will be missed....
