America's Business Gets the Hint....

How Much Did Her Company Lose Last Year ?
While the Obama Administration puts the screws to American business by limiting the salaries of those who accept Federal help, there are signs that after numerous cases of banks spending money all willy-nilly after getting billions from taxpayers, some of them are getting the point.
The days of the high lifestyle junkets to Palm Beach and the Super Bowl are slowly coming to an end. Most companies realize that it just plain looks bad to spend that kind of cash when taxpayers are propping up your company from bankruptcy... Wells Fargo, which recently got $25 billion in TARP money, cancelled a 12 day junket to Las Vegas for it's top employees this week. It would be a stretch to tell them congrats, but at least they did the right thing..
But, this week's kudos go to Motorola CFO Paul Liska. In case you haven't noticed, Motorola is going down bigtime. They lost $3.6 Billion in the last quarter alone. So, Liska, who only took over last February, threw himself on the company sword and stepped down and quit. Once again, he couldn't have been doing a great job if thy lost that much cash, but while most of Corporate America's idiot bosses are staying put and collecting golden parachutes, Liska deserves a small kudo for not waiting.
