SC6 Remembers Charlton Heston...


Charlton Heston, one of the best actors in American history, who went on to become one of this nations greatest gun advocates, passed away today from Alzheimers Disease. He was 84.
Heston's list of movies is too long to list, but it covered the entire spectrum of moviemaking. Religion, Ancient History, even futuristic thrillers - Heston covered them all. he was, in short, Mel Gibson , Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe all wrapped into one guy. I remember him more during his Planet of the Apes and Soylent Green days, and Heston was a badass. He did have a great sense of humor too. Check out his Saturday Night Live appearance, or his part in Wayne's World 2 - classic !
After his career was about done, he got into one of the most contraversial issues of the day - the right to bear arms. Where most beloved actors would stay away from it to protect their reputation, Heston jumped in with both feet. He was a gutsy guy.
