SC6's Picture of the Day ...

We've had recurring post series before - the Milton Waddams Award, Fuzzy Thoughts, etc.... Well, we've decided to start up another recurring post - Picture of the Day. It'll be an apolitical post each day of something in the 6th District - maybe some scenery, a statue, or even a guy on the side of the road... Just something to give you a good reason to check in each day....
The first installment is the Muldrows Millpond , just around the corner from my house. Actually, it was quite a hike. I live about eight houses from the end of the street, but I ended up doing a 1/2 mile flank reminiscent of Stonewall Jackson's move at Chancellorsville. Eventually, I ended up down Irby Street, where there was a driveway going right up to the mill - you live, you learn.... Although it is a bit smelly, it is pretty scenic for a spot in town, ane we hope the pic shows that.

Mike-I use to fish in the ole' mill pond until I had a run in with a gator. Not something from a bad sci-fi movie. This one was probably 5 foot at best but I was in a 8 ft jon boat. The gator decided to see what the boat. After his close visit I decided I would stick to fishing from somewhere I did not have to walk on water...teg

I was more concerned with water moccasins than gators, but I got lucky..
