If Moye Graham Isn't Representing Our District in Tampa, Something Is Really Wrong Here...

Our Man Served Us Well in Minneapolis, And He Deserves To Be Back Again As THE MAN in the 6th District ....

It's Wednesday, and our term as Vice-Chairman of the SCGOP Sixth Congres sional District comes to an end in three short days.  While we've been reflecting on our eight year stint in running in and representing the House that Clyburn Ruined, our main focus is advising those who will be voting and succeeding us to prepare and make good decisions.  We already have a strong Chair in Bill Connor, and a full slate of people to fill the other spots.  The real race Saturday will be for the two delegate spots for the National Convention in Tampa, but to us, one of the spots is already filled, and the other eight need to fight amongst themselves for the other spot.

Yes, we are undoubtedly biased in our opinion, but Moye Graham is heads and shoulders above anyone else running for delegate in the 6th District..  Yeah, Moye is probably our best friend in politics, but there's a good reason for that - the man is a one-man Republican wrecking crew in the District!  You want the resume? Be our guest.... Clarendon County Chairman, Sixth District Treasurer, State Appointee to the Commission on Aging, previous National Convention delegate in 2008, and very likely the most powerful and influential Republican in the District.

Moye isn't just a guy holding a title... he has worked tirelessly to cultivate one of the most staunchly Blue areas in the state, and turned it into a competitive county.  Where five years ago, people didn't run as Republicans, Clarendon GOP has succeeded in filling those areas.  More importantly, Clarendon voters are voting more Republican.  In 2010, the county was almost even in the vote, despite the registered voter disadvantage, and a few even won the county.  In short, where some county chairs talk about their successes in getting 75% Red counties to win, Moye Graham is actually converting people...  Anyone can do the easy lifting - Moye does the hard work, not matter what the Democrats or the local papers think. And it's working..

Statewide, his connections marvel leaders in much bigger counties.  How does a small area like Clarendon get almost every constitutional officer to stop by?  Because Moye asks them to, and they listen.  His trips to Tampa isn't just an opportunity to get his picture taken with some Senator from who knows where, it's to network and promote South Carolina.  And he is willing to spend the thousands of dollars it takes that the RNC requires you to, which is a shock to many first timers.  It's not an honor, it's an expense...

Now, why are we doing this?  First, because Moye is our best bud in SC Politics, and being a National Delegate is very important to him.  If this were a sure thing, we'd sit idly by, and just let the vote in Manning on Saturday take it's course.  But, there are obviously some people coming who I've never seen in the District before, and some who don't live there.  Yeah, the 6th District is the SCGOP's whipping boy, and every four years, people try to bumrush the convention, and get an easy delegate spot.  We'll give them one of them if they want, but the other one is Moye Graham's.  He's earned it, and in our opinion, his name should be on every single ballot for National Delegate from the Sixth Congressional District...

Oh.. OK, thanks for setting me straight on that. He has a pretty good shot at the 7th Chair. If he does win, that'd be far from done for...

Wow, for four guys whose primary political agenda is to drink and talk crap, someone thinks we're pretty serious stuff. Whoever you are, we're flattered you think so highly of us. Really.

I am with you on that Earl.

You are all a bunch of Losers and after this weekend at least 3 of you 4 will not be but a blimp on the party radar. Graham will get smoked. Grimes will get smoked next week and your time will be up Reino. Capps I want even go there.

Uhh, you mean a blip on the radar, right? Blimp would imply that we would be very large objects on the radar....or do I need to define 'imply' to you?

Mine and Tom's political funeral has been predicted for four years now. Remember when we were going to be impeached somehow? How'd that work out? The nice thing is that people in the party don't let talent go to waste, and unfortunately for our unfans, the four of us are too skilled. If you really think I'm going to disappear, you're fooling yourselves..

Anon, Graham didn't get smoked. He was smokin'.

Based on the praise Tommy and Mike got, they did a good job.

The Blogland is running more traffic than ever.

We're here, doing well and at least you know who we are. You, however, outta have the cojones to come out of the shadows. Put a name to your words since you seem so ballsy.

Punks and losers are cowardly. Oh well ...

Speaking of blimp, been to Florence lately?

I live in Florence.. Like I said on the Striped Bass post, I skipped it due to the storm, and I had to run to my Atty's and Insurance office at 500 on business, so I missed the Crawford/Mulvaney appearance last night.

I also got blocked from some FCGOP's Facebook pages, so the updates I usually get aren't coming as often.
