At 5'4" , Ronnie James Dio Is a Little Guy That's Big On Rockin'
There's a nice little article on Yahoo!Music, that talks about the long and short of Rock - or maybe just the short of Rock.. They list some of the biggest names of the little guys in Rock. What was the criteria? They had to be under 5'8" - my exact height. At least my driver's license says I'm 5'8".....
It's a pretty comprehensive list of metal, pop, folk and alternative rock. Of course, the littlest guy to make it big is Prince, who is only 5'2" - but there are few HUGE rock stars that are smaller than you think. It gives a guy like me the feeling that it's always possible to make it. Now if they only had a list of rock stars who made it after 40 ..... Take a minute, and check it out..

I saw him last fall and he ROCKED like it was the old Black Sabbath days. If you listen to the new Heaven and Hell CD (the reunited Dio-led Sabbath lineup), you'll be amazed that he's still got it.
Even if he's got a little less hair up top.
But he does get credit for one of the cheesier metal videos of all time: Rainbow in the Dark, where a lurking stalker follows a lady with bad intentions, only to be confronted, tormented and run off by a guitar-wielding ... guitarist?!?
