So, Who Are the Four Horsemen of the Political Apocalypse ???

If You Guessed That Was Me On the Right, You're Correct !

Like most talented writers, I'm humble... Kidding! However, part of interesting writing is to be able to give things memorable names and sayings. It seems that I hit on another one recently with my naming of the Four Horsemen of the Political Apocalypse. Of course, when you give a name to a group of individuals, you end up having to decide which one is which horseman..

So, after a great deal of thought - about 20 minutes worth - I have chosen each horsemen with their personal Harbinger of Doom. There's no doubt that some might not agree, but hey, this is my blog, and all results of the Judge are final...

Mike Reino - Pestilence
As I ride in on my white horse, there's no denying that I am like a disease - like the plague or a scourge of locusts. I am the first sign that The End is near.... And I am a pest too.

Tom Grimes - War.

See, Tom really IS a horseman, although this horse isn't red. Anyone who says 'don't call when The Derby is On' must be. I know Tom wanted to be Death, but Tom is a Warrior - a real battler. When Tom is done, there is little left to salvage.

Moye Graham - Famine
Now, someone had to be Famine, and Moye earns the honor a bit by default. Why? Because finding a Republican in Clarendon is like a famine, but Moye gets on his Black Horse and he finds 'em. What little there may seemingly be, Moye picks them clean, until finally....

Earl Capps - Death
Yeah, everyone wants to be Death, but Earl gets the nod to ride the Pale Horse. How come ? Easy. Death Metal - it just fits. Let's face it, when a tall guy with a blonde ponytail, Hawaiian shirt, and checkerboard sneakers who's listening to Anthrax walks into your local GOP meeting, the Grim Reaper has come.....

Yes, if you see any of these four at your local Republican function, my advice is to run for the hills, becuase it is the beginning of the end - anthough Tommy felt this was a better example of the Four Horsemen...

As War can tell you there was almost Famine at the Executive Board meeting today. We needed Pestilence there where Death could get excited. Hopeful the weekend of May 15th we can all hook up on Lincoln and Senate streets and burn Columbia down. Just a figure of speech as Sherman tried it and failed also.

I heard that the reason Sherman went on such a rampage was that all the bars on the Vista were closed, and he just LOST IT....
