I Get Colonel Sanders' Revenge, And All the Big News Occurs ....

They Look Pretty Similar, Don't You Think ?? Just Slap a Goatee on Henry, And We've Got Twins !!!!
We say it almost every day it seems - in life timing is everything. Sure enough, one of the biggest stories of the year in SC Politics happens, and I've got the trots... Granted, it is only January 5th, but anytime an incumbent Congressman leaves his job up for grabs, it's big news. Hey, it's not like he'd get voted out, right? WHO EVER VOTES OUT A CONGRESSMAN ?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!
Of course, the important thing now is who will take Henry Brown's place. We have no idea, because there are like a bazillion candidates running, and we don't really have a favorite - although Katherine Jenerette calling me 'That Bad Boy Blogger' does help... Shucks, Kat! You're making me blush......
As much blustering as there was from the contenders, and their anti-Brown supporters, beating him wasn't going to be all that easy. With the huge void left by Brown's retirement off to Piggly Wiggly Heaven, watch all the candidates come running now. According to a Press Release-like commentary from SC Hotline, it appears Sen. Chip Campsen may enter the race. If he does, given his connections, he would probably be the favorite. The good news? Free trips on Chip's Cruise Boats for all of 2010 !!
Of course, the more interesting question for me might be on the other side of the aisle. Namely, will Linda 'The Food Lion Lesbian' Ketner - who happens to be a lesbian, enter race, despite the fact that she's a lesbian? Sorry for all the lesbian references, but that's how it always seems to appear whenever they mention her. It is a lot - even for a Lesbian....
Campsen - Ketner would be an interesting race, but there are plenty of variables here. We'll sort this out eventually, then count the bodies when it's over. Meanwhile, would anyone be interetsed in runnin gin the 6th District? You get a free ride to November for playing - 'I GUARANTEE IT !'

Mike-believe it or not we actually may have a GOP primary. I know, I know I don't believe it either but I have heard/know of 4, that right 4 potential candidates. Filing is still a little ways off, so I'm going to sit back and see who comes through.

Also don't forget Jimbo Clyburn has a potential challenger of his. Greg Brown from Richland county has a website up and is looking at taking on whipper Jim.

Mike,you may remember I said 2010 could get interesting...teg

Campsen - Ketner. Don't know which would be more boring or less visually-appealing for audiences.
