SC6's Divisional Playoff Picks Are Out....

Mark Sanchez and the Jets' Magic Ride Comes to An End In San Diego This Weekend .....
Looks like our vacation from politics is getting extended a bit, because we don't give a crap about anything this week... So instead, let's talk football. Last week, we went 2-2, but it was an obvious 2-2, as in 2-0 in the AFC, and 0-2 in the NFC. Kinda odd, since I'm an NFC fan, but I guess I forgot the Cowboys were on a roll, and the Packers just gave up too much early. Anyway, we take our so-so record onto the next round...Like last week, we're pretty sure about the AFC, while the NFC has us all confused again...
Vikings vs. Cowboys
I have a new theory that I will ride this year in the playoffs - you can't turn it on at the end. Both teams have great offenses that can run and throw, and excellent defensive fronts that can put pressure on the QB. But, we're going with the hot team, and that's Dallas. Yeah, Vikes beat up on the Giants, but I'll admit it again - the Giants sucked. It'll be a classic game, but Dallas nips em. Cowboys 28-27.
Colts vs. Ravens
Baltimore played almost perfect ball against New England, especially on the defensive side, but the Colts are much better than the Pats were this year. Also, Joe Flacco does not have the stuff to keep up with Peyton Manning, so the Indy D will have an easier time of it. We see a tight defensive battle, but Manning and the Colts will make the Indy fans glad they left Baltimore in the middle of the night - in a Mayflower moving van. Some images just stay with you..... Colts 24-13.
Cardinals vs. Saints
Much like the Vikings, the Saints didn't show much against anyone in the last month, despite holding onto the Number 1 seed. The ironic part is that the Cards have the offense that the Saints had earlier in the year - they can pass and run too now. Could they be better than last year's Super Bowl team? not if they can't stop anyone. Yes, it will be another pinball game, but the Saints will be the ones having trouble keeping up. Cards 34-27.
Jets vs. Chargers
You can't pick against destiny, can you? Uhh, yeah you can. San Diego (which is still German for a whale's vagina) isn't flashy - they just win. They can run, they finally got a wide reciever who can catch passes consistently, and the D holds up enough. Mark Sanchez is probably very happy to get out of the cold in New York, and back to Southern California, but nice weather tends to let him try too much, and then come the INT's.. The Chargers move on, and Rex Ryan gets to cry for real...Chargers 23-16
Congrats to Moye for being the Top Dog by going 3-1. I'm 2-2 , along with Tom, while Bobby and P-Luv are bringing up the back end at 1-3.

Mike--I lived in California for a couple of the Fouts years and I watched him beat on my Dolphins but given the chance to pull against the NY paper airplanes this one is easy..San Diego over NY.

Arizona @ New Orleans, this is a case of which team shows up? If its the Cards of last week vs the Saints of the 1st half of the season, this could be a great game. If its the Saints of the last 3 weeks verses uninspired Arizona one word comes to mind FUGLY! I'm betting Kurt Warner want one more trip to the big dance more than Drew Brees wants his first. The Cardiac Cards over the Aints.

Baltimore @ Indianopolis;Peyton continues his quest to get back on top of baby brother Eli with another ring, while Lewis and the blackbirds continue to try to do a NFL re-make of Hitchcock's The Birds. Instead I think they're gonna look like Bye Bye Birdie. Indy over Baltimore.

Dallas @ Minnesota; the streak vs. Farve's quest. The Dallas hotstreak rolls into the frozen Minnesota north and Farve is laying in wait. The ragin cajun of the North will dump a few buckets on the herd from Dallas to cool off the Texas hotstreak. Minnesota over Dallas as Farve continues his quest to be an automatic on greatest QB's of all time. Sorry Mike I was channeling Leonard's Losers when I did this, now get me out of here Percy!!...teg

I think I made my case about the Pack-Cards game in my picks post this week. And yesterday's Fox team should be banned for not pointing out the hit to the head on Warner yesterday was nowhere near as egregious as the one on Rodgers, yet Warner got the flag. I understand the Ref missing it looking at the ball. But the horseshit excuses from the NFL this past week that it SHOULD NOT have been called was just retarded. Admit the mistake and move on.

Boy, you attorneys don't let go of anything .... I forgot about it before Dansby even made it into the end zone. Good job on yesterday's picks though.

Sorry decided to take a week off on my picks.

Rough week for us guys.... Moye decided to take his Republican duties seriously, and skip making picks this week. Technically, I suppose that would make him 0-4, but I'm still deciding. Here's the final for the week...

Mike 1-3 / 3-5 overall
Tommy 2-2/ 4-4 overall
P-Luv 2-2/ 3-5 overall
Bobby 0-4/ 1-7 overall.

I still haven't gotten an NFC game right. Bobby, WTF ?????

Its fitting that the football gods are gonna make the Colts clean up the mess they made giftwrapping the playoffs for the Jets. Now, Caldwell's gonna find out just how angry the gods are.

Excellent point, P-Luv. Always be afraid of deciding who you 'want' to let in the playoffs.

Ray Lewis said this year's team was better than the Ravens team that won it all - too bad he was talking about his old DC's team !
