Picture of the Day ..

This is the side view of Declaration of Independence signor and patriot, William Floyd's Estate. It's pretty realistic and bucolic - aka, 'farmy'. There are restored original barns and equipment, and plenty of wildlife on the property. I ran into a pair of wild turkeys and a small 4-point deer on the way out. No, you can't shoot deer here - not even with a camera! My batteries died when I tried, and the poor little guy posed for a minute for me !

The grass up here doesn't turn brown like Down South. I have no idea why, but it's totally different from centipede, bermuda or St. Augustine.
