Alright Lady, Put Your Hands Up, and the Dildo Down !!!!

South Carolina Bill Would Make the Sale of Sex Toys Illegal....
And Ms. X says I never give her anything to comment on! It seems that there is a bill currently in the South Carolina legislature that would ban the sale of sex toys. Yep, Rep. Ralph Davenport (R-Sparkleburg), put the bill in earlier this year that would make the sale of the little rubber doohickies illegal, and authorize raids looking for them. The fine for selling them? Five years in the slammer and a $100,000 fine. Serious indeed.
I gotta say, this bill is exactly what is wrong with the GOP. Everytime we try to legislate morality, we lose. Maybe Davenport isn't worried about losing his seat in the Bible Belt hotbed in Spartanburg, but others in less conservative areas like the Pee Dee and the Lowcountry would be more in trouble with voters.
Getting involved in subjects like abortion is dicey enough, but to start legislating people's sex lives is flat out wrong! Sorry guys, but we don't always fill the bill for the ladies, if you know what I mean.. What exactly do we outlaw next? Cucumbers? Carrots? Wiffle Ball Bats? It sets a bad precedent of invasion of privacy into citizens private lives. Rep. Davenport may disagree, but no one gets hurt by someone else's use of these things - unless he found something at home he wasn't expecting - but I digress.
If you want to contact Rep. Davenport, his office number in Columbia is (803) 734-3098.
After further research on the article I got this from - which was London of all places, this bill was submitted in 2006. Don't worry ladies........ Your dildo's and vibrators are safe. No need to hide them !

Mike, even more obdurately vapid are efforts hanging in the wings to require a prescription for dietary supplements and for some "functoinal foods" thta may have an effect on one's health.

Yes, aspects of Hilary care gone awry, regulating your Centrum and One A Days as though you could synthesize crystal meth from them.

Go fig...
