AK-47 Giveaway Gets Free Nationwide Publicity..
I don't know how tight Dean Allen and Joe Wilson are, but I bet they can agree on one thing - there is no such thing as bad publicity. I was all set to do a few boring non-political blogs today, and what pops up on MSN? Non other than the Adjutant General candidates fundraiser, giving away an AK-47 machine gun......
It was pretty matter of fact, and for once, the national media decided it wasn't another opportunity to say 'There goes SC again !!!", so Allen has to be more than pleased. The downside of all of this is that he only raised about $12,500, which he could spend that on the little silver coins he was giving away earlier this year alone. The money just doesn't seem to go as far as it used to. However, the free exposure could suddenly draw cash in from all over the place if he's lucky. The comments are pretty standard, although there was one person who wondered why he didn't give away an American-made weapon, like an M-16..... It's all Greek to me. But, congrats to Allen for getting his name and campaign out there....Reminds me of a ZZ Top song...

Dean Allen is the first state wide candidate to have a no show in Clarendon County in years. He was supposed to be at last months Executive Committee meeting and did not have the courtesy to even call and let us know. Guess who I will be backing.
