SC6 Says Goodbye to Don LaFontaine, The King Of The Voiceovers..

Maybe you didn't know Don LaFontaine, but I guarantee you've heard him a few hundred times......LaFontaine was by far THE biggest announcer in movies. His intense, gravely voice was on over 5000 movie trailers, and in nearly 350,000 commercials. The guy was also the voice for NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, UPN, TNT, TBS and the Cartoon Network. Wow...
LaFontaine invented many of the famous lines we pick on in movie trailers, such as "In a World...", "A One Man Army...", and "Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide, and No Way Out." As goofy as those lines may be, where would we be without them. Unfortunately, LaFontaine passed away Monday from complications after suffering a collapsed lung. He was 68.
I've done a little voiceover work - very little. But I can tell you how tough it is for a guy to be that versatile and in demand.. In case his voice isn't familiar to you, here's clip to refresh your memory, and to know all about the Legend - The Voice ...
