Mojo Nixon, Back in His Heyday in the Late 80's...
Maybe you've heard this before..... Remember when MTV played videos ??? Back when I was in college, MTV had just started alternative programming. Remote Control , Rock the Vote, etc. , but mostly it was still about videos, and they even made a few stars of their own...
One of them was Mojo Nixon. His goofy looks, and zydeco rockabilly style was a great change of pace from Cinderella and Bobby Brown videos. Sure, it didn't last for long - Mojo is still around, but you can probably get him to play your birthday party for about $250 bucks. But he definitely had his 15 minutes.
