A road game for Eli Manning and my G-Men Against Tampa Might be Just What the Doctor Ordered.........
The football playoffs are finally here. Dallas, Green Bay, Indy and the undefeated Patriots are resting up, waiting to see who rolls on. This has been a bit of a funny year, as the teams seem to be dominated by two divisions - the AFC South and the NFC East, each with three teams. but you have to take the games one at a time....
Washington vs. Seattle.
The Redskins rolled into the playoffs by winning 4 straight to get the last spot, including wins over the Giants and Cowboys. Seattle is playing at home, where they are 23-4 the last 3 years. It will be a tough defensive battle, with seattle having lost their running game, and DC playing safe ball. i don't like the way they've played lately, but only so many home teams will lose, and I don't think this is the one. Seahawks 20-17.
Jacksonville vs. Pittsburgh
Everyone is afraid of the Jaguars. they are built for the playoffs - they run , have a great defense, and they don't make mistakes. But they usually get beat in the playoffs. They beat the Steelers here a month ago, but only by 7 points, despite outgaining them nearly 2 to 1. Pittsburgh has a better playoff record, and they're at home, with that CRAPPY FIELD to slow down Jacksonville's speed. Steelers 27-24.
New York vs Tampa Bay
For all the other possibilities in this game, it will hinge on one thing - Eli Manning. If the wind is blowing, so is Eli. That's why I thank God that they're playing in Tampa. The wind at the Meadowlands is a killer.... Tampa went 9-7, but they haven't really been impressive in a weak NFC South this year. The one thing that Tampa does have is Jeff Garcia, who is 2-0 against the Giants in the playoffs - but that was with San Francisco and Philly. He doesn't have Terrell Owens or Brian Westbrook to pass to. Giants 16-13.
Tennessee vs. San Diego
'We're just glad to be here' should be the Titans motto this week. After getting the playoff bid giftwrapped by the Colts, they face a Chargers offense that has been rolling pretty well lately. More importantly, they blew home field advantage last year, and it won't happen again. Maybe Phillip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson will get into another fight on the sidelines, but I doubt it. Tennessee's offense sucks, and the defense will keep them in it only for so long. This is my blowout pick. Chargers 31-13.

giants will win
Tony Dungy is with the Colts, Tampax Bay is do-able for Eli.
The rest of the picks look sound.
Bobby's stone cold lead pipe locks!

Pittsburgh 16-9
Tampa Bay 24-17

Not bad, 3-1. Damn Steelers couldn't hold on..
Jax could seriously threaten the boys from Foxboro...
Garrard's going to have to play better than he did this week to win.
