GM Cuts Costs By Cutting Tiger Woods...

How's Tiger Going to Make a Living Now, Playing Golf? HA , HA!
One of the most uncomfortable marketing teams ended today, when Buick and Tiger Woods parted ways after nine years. Due to cost cutting measures needed by the broke automaker, GM dropped Woods, which saves them about $7 million a year.
Was it money well spent? I doubt it. Woods attract business from golfers, but Buick is generally an older aged market, and Woods is not someone they would be buying from. Once again, those marketing geniuses at GM blew $63 million over the past nine years by trying to get a 30 yr old to sell cars to 60 years olds. Moye, don't get mad.. I know you own a Buick, but I'm sure you didn't buy it because of Tiger Woods...
Woods and Buick was like mixing Jay-Z and Depends or OOPS, I Crapped my Pants - it just didn't fit. This might indicate that GM is finally gettign really, really serious about cutting whatever costs it can. Just think, by doing this, they saved those union guys about 1000 jobs. Good for them. Now, just cut out a bit more of that $5.3 Billion they blow on advertising..........
