It's Saturday ! Time for College Picks...

LSU and Georgia Tech Come to SC Today........
Our favorite day of the week is here, and we've got a couple big games in the Palmetto State today. Guess that's why no one is in Flotown right now..... LSU and Carolina, Georgia Tech and Clemson....
Yellow Jackets at Clemson
Tommy Bowden is gone, and the Tigers have their first game since his firing. I was all sure who I was going to pick in this one, then I checked again, and found goofy info. Yes, Georgia Tech is 5-1, but they come off of a totally flat 10-7 win over I-AA Gardner-Webb College. They're in North Carolina, and they're 2-4. That's all I can tell you.
Secondly, the Yellow Jackets play much better at home, and this game is in Death Valley. The whole question is which Clemson team will show up? Which Georgia Tech team will show up? This is the ACC, the most schizophrenic conference in college football, who knows. This should be pretty low scoring , as both teams do have good defenses and iffy O's. A big turnover will turn this game, and the 12th man will help Clemson. Tigers 17-13.
LSU at South Carolina.
All of my Gamecock fan friends honestly think they will take this one. Though the defense is stout, and this isn't LSU's best team ever, I don't agree with them... Yes, LSU's usually reliable D got throttled by Tim Tebow for 51 points last week, but Steven Garcia is NOT Tim Tebow, and he doesn't have the weapons that Florida has. The running game needs to be better to win. They'll stack it up, and make Garcia beat them. Like the first game, defense will dominate this one, but I forsee another one of those close, but inevitably frustrating Gamecock losses.
LSU 16-13.
