Santa Has a Christmas Gift For You...$2 A Gallon Gas by December ?

Of Course, Santa's Reindeer Don't Run On Gas..

What the latest price on Magic Feed Corn, Santa ? I'll try to pick you guys up a bit again. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but gas is dropping like a stone right now - and it's gonna keep dropping. Why? Because you're not using gas as much as you used to.

Crude oil prices for December delivery dropped another $3.69 a barrel on Friday, down to $64.15 . Americans are driving 5.6% less than they were a year ago - a whopping 15 billion miles less driven per month. As we have all learned from ReinoEcon 101 numerous times here, lower demand leads to lower prices. OPEC is trying to stem the tide by cutting production, but they're not stupid - they still have to make it or they go broke. It will take a bit longer for prices to drop , but Hurricane Season is over, so there will be no refining hassles like in August and September.

I would not be surprised to see $2 gas sometime in December. No, this will not change your life - unless you drive 2000 miles a week like Bobby does. But, I can tell you that the $20 I drop in the tank in my car got me about 2 extra gallons of gas this week than it did on the last tank. I might not even have to get gas this week. Nice........

Of course, the downside is that we are driving less because the economy is in the dumper a bit, but we were due for it, and a little belt tightening to get your financial house in order is good every once in a while...

I am relieved of the lower gas prices. Mine lasts for a week, and that is driving back and forth five times during the day. Tighting our belts means going back to what is needed only. Wants wait or go without.

If N. Carolina didn't tax your asses off to make all those pretty roads up there, it'd be cheaper.. It's 2.38 behind my house...
