SC6 Endorses Jim Clyburn ? WTF ??!!!

The Fish Fry Shirt Reminds the Kingmaker What His Name Is....

Yes, the world is coming to an end.... Forget about Barack Obama being a sign of the Apocalypse. This is the sign. I'm endorsing Jim Clyburn for re-election. Sort of. Not really sort of.....

If you think that your Congressman reaching a more powerful position is of utmost importance, than you need to vote for Jim Clyburn. If you can't realize that the primary job of the Majority Whip is to focus on passing legislation of your own party, then vote for Clyburn. If you can't realize that a Congressman who spends all his time doing that instead of working on his own legislation isn't really representing you, then vote for Clyburn.

If you like your Congressman to quote Bible verse, but go home every night to his favorite drink (Jack & Diet Coke), then vote for Clyburn. If you like your Congressman to talk about what a great Christian he is, then fund abortions and support every Pro-Choice candidate on the planet, he's your guy - Your Hypocrite.

So, am I really endorsing Nancy Harrelson. Sure. Granted, she has not been the perfect candidate. She is very rough around the edges. Her public speaking needed work, not that I am one to teach her. When you talk about your policies and beliefs, and people can tell you're reading your lines, it hurts your credibility. Gary McLeod was a kook, but at least you know he believed in everything he said. Also, I think her FairTax support is so 2004... It's a scam that benefits wealthier people, and most people know it.

But , Harrelson has done a decent job otherwise. She has hit the pavement. She has spent money. Soemhow, she got the SCGOP to actually give a 6th District candidate a spot on the podium, and a picture on the official ballot. Is she the best fathomable candidate I could dream of? No, but she did shake things up a bit.

Will she crack the 40% barrier that might give the GOP serious consideration in the future? This year, I doubt it. Female or not, 2008 is the year of Obama, and every African-American in the 6th District will be out in force. This year, Clyburn cracks 200,000 total votes - thus giving him further belief that he is a political juggernaut. Just pray he becomes Transportation Secretary, so he'll be out of our hair - only to be replaced by his daughter. Then it starts all over again......

I have to go to Orangeburg for work tomorrow. Want me to drag him out of his house and kick the shit out of him?

Her candidacy is helping hurt the rest of the GOP ticket. The only problem is that she's so politically clueless that she doesn't know, and too self-centered and ego-driven to care.

In some ways she is in the Gary McLeod realm - all hateful and hopped up on talk radio rhetoric but unable to win a thing.

After she loses, we'll probably hear some angry, bitter talk about how she could have won but nobody helped her (and for good reason) and it was all their fault for not helping her, not hers for failing to do her homework or no anything about politics.

... and if she storms out in a huff, good riddance. The only thing she's doing is hurting her fellow Republicans in the 6th District who are barely holding onto what few offices we have in the region.

Thanks Wild Thing, but I'll pass n the asskicking....

Earl, In this year, I'm not sure she matters all that much. Clyburn isn't the reason everyone will be flocking to the polls, it's Obama. Clyburn will take credit for it. Will he crack 200k in your opinion?

He might just do it.

Nancy is just as delusional as McCleod is, but at least she's not as bitter and nasty a personality as he was. While I'd rather run a blank line next to Clyburn's name, at least she's a bearable presence.

But it'll be interesting to see how she handles a good ol' fashioned ass whoopin', because that's what she's gonna get.

You could catch Clyburn robbing a whorehouse, killing old ladies, stealing from a soup kitchen, taking bribes from lobbyists and molesting children after spending the night in a Taliban camp and he'd still win in a landslide.

Ok guys first I love the comment from Bobby first time ever almost. I agree with Mike it is Obama driving the vote in the 6th not Nancy. I agree with Earl as Nancy is going to get her butt kicked.

Maybe we can get Nancy to go to Orangeburg and kick the shit out of him. Then she'll get thrown in the can and the GOP can search for another to get their ass kicked in the 6th district in 2010. I just can't see anybody beating him or his daughter in this district. Just the way it be yo.
Maybe Mike Reino will run again!
