Say Goodbye to the Last American Owned Brewery.

The King of Beers Gets Bought Out....
I hope Earl likes imported beer, because after today, there are no more major American-owned breweries. Anhauser-Busch, makers of Budweiser, Michelob, Corona and a slew of others beers, was bought out by Belgian Superbrewer InBev. InBev makes Beck's , Stella Artois - which tastes a lot like Bud - and a ton of others.
This is not a friendly takeover at all..... AB sued InBev - and InBev did likewise, and if you've noticed a ton of Bud commercials touting it's Ameican heritage, it was no mistake. Bud did NOT want this to happen. But it's too late now.....
So what effect will this have on you? Not much. Bud and all the other brands will likely still be around, but InBev has not made any promises to incorporate it's "European Business Practices" - aka Job Cuts. We'll see........
So,if you're looking to drink anAll-American brew from top to bottom from now on, you'll have to settle for a Microbrew. Personally, my favorite is a Sam Adams White Ale. Cheers !!!!

This is crap. The only 2 things left that I can stand by are American cars and American beer. I quit drinking Miller after they were bought by a company based in S. Africa. Its hopeless...we will be assimilated.

There are a few microbrews that I like - Sam Adams White Ale comes to mind. Yuengling is pretty good, but as a former resident of Rochester. NY, I've seen that Genesee River mess they make that beer from, and NO WAY am I drinking that toxic shit!

Any beer I might make on my own would be a low grade WMD.
