I get a good laugh out of the Presidential races sometimes. Like when the candidates feel the need to look like the best candidate on every subject. I think voters are pretty smart, and they would probably appreciate a candidate who can admit the other guy's strengths over his own.
Face it, Obama will be the one viewed as the true candidate of change - maybe not the best type of change, but if more change is what you're looking for, he's likely where you're going. On the other hand, there is little doubt that John McCain's service to his country shows his patriotism, and his expertise on Foreign Policy and Terrorism - and other countries know it too...
This past week, the Colombian government rescued 15 hostages from FARC, a local terrorist group. One of the hostages was a former preisdential candidate, and three others were American citizens. Well, when the Colombians were ready to make a move, they called the Bush Administration - and John McCain.
McCain, who was in Colombia to discuss free trade and drug trafficking, was called by President Alvaro Uribe personally, and was given details on the rescue. Barack Obama was back in America, and he was forced to give a press release to make up for the snub..
There are some issues that are up for grabs this election year: The future of energy, and how to lower gas prices, and the economy are a couple. But some of them are not negotiable. When it comes to Foreign Policy, John McCain has it on Barack Obama, and other countries know it. Yeah, he is older, but with age does come experience. My dad is 84, and although I have watched horse racing since I was a kid, I wouldn't take my advice on it over my dad's, who has been working in racing since he was 13. Experience does matter some.........

Why does Cindy McCain hate motherhood so much?
I don't know, what's the punchline? I'm waiting for the comment that your cat's a better mother..
We now have found out that FARC released the hostages in return for a ransom. The fishy official story turned out to be a bunch of bs.
Well, that wouldn't surprise me if it were true..
I have been in the jungles and believe me no matter what it was nice to get them out.
I was in Sparkleberry Swamp once. That was enough Jungle for me.
We hear on back channels FARC RANSOM story is cover to hide embarassment that they and Hugo Chavez got skunked...
and that could be true as well, guess it's safe to say that I don't know what actually happened. Just that McCain got a call , and Obama didn't.
