That's a Vineyard With One Heck of a View......
The New York Times does have some things going for it. For all their misguided liberal rants and causes they try to achieve, they will give you some nice ideas once in a while. They'll give their reporters a little wad of cash, and tell them "Go find some nice places to drive and eat." Nice gig, if you can find it...
One of the trips the NYT took was to the Finger Lakes region of Central and Western New York State. I spent my college years in the area, and if you've never been there, you are missing out on a nice little trip. There are some great downhome style places to eat, one of the best wine regions in the world, and scenery that is just short of heaven. Personally, I recommend a day trip to Letchworth State Park, home of the 'Grand Canyon of the East'..
