1980's One Hit Wonder Wants to Run Against Lindsey Graham....

SC6 Has learned that 80's Pop Star Kim Carnes is planning on running against incumbent SC Senator Lindsey Graham in 2008. No word on if 'Bette Davis Eyes' will be her theme song.

So far, the campaign has been very low-key. A press release on SC Hotline is the only evidence that she is campaigning for the seat. In the public interest, we went on a search for Carnes to clear up the confusion. Unfortunately, we are only more confused than when we started....

For starters, Carnes doesn't even live in South Carolina, she lives in California. Strike one. We decided to get the word straight from the horse's mouth, so we called Carnes agent, Swifty Rabinowitz.. Just to let you know, she is available for concerts, restaurant openings or company get togethers. However, Swifty said he knows nothing of it, so I called Carnes directly......

Just to reiterate, Carnes is available for concerts, birthday parties, etc..... When asked directly 'Will you run against Lindsey Graham?' Her reply was terse..... "Who the heck is Lindsey Graham". We are flabbergasted !!! Why would Kim Carnes make a press release, then not.......... Uh, TIM CARNES ?? Oh. Nevermind.

Don't tell me that Kim has confused Lindsey Graham with Lindsey Buckingham... talk about an Emily Littele moment.

KIM CARNES is not One Hit Wonder. She has scored several hits on Billboard Charts between 1976-1992 as "You're A Part Of Me," "More Love" (#10 Pop, 1980), "Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer" (#4 Pop, with Kenny Rogers), "What About Me" (#1 AC - with Kenny Rogers and James Ingram, 1984), "Voyeur" (#29, 1982), etc.

Not for the first time, she wondered what it was and why it was there. Salin told me that he was awake, but hes not come out of his suite. Most commonly, those who were truemated fell in love, sometimes instantly sometimes it took centuries. He really was afraid. Little by little, she came back to herself. Rocks and debris filled them still, but she had done what shed come to do. She had neither seen nor asked after Tykir, Lanthan, nor Brevin. Eyrhaen glanced over her shoulder to meet Radins triumphant smile. Eyrhaens here, he announced quietly to the room, waving for her to pass by him. All she wanted to do was run screaming or shove hot pokers in her eyes. Im sorry to ruin this for you too, but… Damn. Ive gotten better at controlling it. Shed convinced herself it was over. He was on his elbow now, his lips a breath away from hers. She wiggled, and he stopped. She frowned a little and squinted to get as best a look as she could. Without variety, our culture would grow evenmore stagnant. I doubt we could have flourished when every man is lover to only one woman. He mirrored her hold on his neck, squeezing her nape. I cant see where Im going.
